Five (5) General strategy for OVERALL PTE

ONE: Read each and every question type when you press next button, as sequencing of sections ain’t fixed, so after RA, you may get RL or DI or RS. In my 1^st exam I had bad experience of missing out on one ASQ as I was prepared for another RL, as two RLs were already done, and I was in that flow and expectation, but It was ASQ and I could not answer it, as I was just taking notes presuming it is another RL. Hence, be alert and read at the top of the page on every time. Plan should be to ready it in a glance, so you won’t end up losing in time part.

TWO: Do not leave the cap of the marker open, as the marker is anyways according to me, is not of good quality and it dried out really soon. And the erasable note pad is again is not of great quality, so be cautious of this.

THREE: The break before listening section should be taken for sure. To calm yourself before one final section. Which is going to have impact on listening and writing score of yours. Try and get back in 5 minutes after using washroom and may be having a biscuit or two to recollect the energy after the exhausting sessions of speaking, writing and reading.

FOUR: Keep your mike in proper position and double check before your speaking session kicks off and listen back twice. Watch videos of Steven Fernandas, he has explained it best way. It is very important, please do not undermine it. Plays a huge rule in speaking score.

FIVE: Complete two PTE official books in any condition and be ready for the tasks. See videos of Navjot Brar, Steven Fernandas, PTE GOLD. Do not try and over do things, over practicing is big no. rather strategizing in your customized way is MUST. Extra only PTE Academic Testbuilder (Macmillan) book could be done.
